Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo (HDZ), distinguished for its longstanding contribution to conservation biology and research, joins the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) in bringing together experts, students, and other distinguished figures working in the field of acoustic communication by animals for a four-day symposium designed to address contemporary topics of importance in this ever growing discipline.
Topics ranging from the influence of anthropogenic noise on animals representing widespread phyla to the newest findings on communication in insects, lizards, amphibians, birds, fish, and terrestrial and marine mammals, will be covered at the Symposium.
